Ordering

By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. We advise you to keep a copy of these Terms and Conditions and your order details for your future reference. We have tried to make these Terms and Conditions as simple as possible and recommend that you print them from the Website when placing your order.


When you submit your order, you are offering to purchase products from us at the prices indicated on our Website. The contract between us is not formed until we have acknowledged acceptance of your order or we dispatch the products to you, whichever is the earlier.


If you discover you have made a mistake with your order after you have submitted it to us, please contact us immediately so we can correct the mistake before the products are dispatched.

Website orders

​All orders for products from the Website should be placed using the shopping cart facility provided on the Website.


When ordering on the Website you will be directed to a secure Website operated by our provider of on-line payment facilities where you can enter your payment information. Once you have entered your payment information and your payment has been confirmed, you will then be directed to a final confirmation screen on the Website displaying the details relating to your order.

 

Payment, Pricing & Promotions

The prices indicated on the Website are in Sterling and include VAT unless otherwise stated. Payments can be made using major credit/debit cards along with other secure payment options.


It is your responsibility to ensure that the payment details you provide are correct and complete. We are not responsible for supplying products if the details you submit when making your order are incorrect or incomplete. No payment will be deemed to have been made until we have cleared funds and we will not dispatch the products until we receive payment in full.


The prices on the Website are checked regularly to ensure they are accurate and up-to-date. However, if we find they have changed when we receive your order we will contact you and ask if you wish to proceed.

 

 

Delivery

Products will be delivered to the delivery address specified by you when making your order. If you order more than one product in a single order, then they may be dispatched separately and arrive with you at different times.


Delivery is free to the majority UK addresses for orders over £50.00. For orders placed with a value of less than £50.00 we will provide a cost at checkout. Delivery upgrade options are available at an additional charge. Our carriers charge an additional handling fee for some postcodes in Scotland, N. Ireland, Isle of Man and Isle of Wight and these charges will be added to your order. For delivery to some locations, the next day delivery service may become a 2-4 day service. Next day delivery is offered Monday to Friday. Free delivery will not show on your order, just the price of the items ordered.


When your consignment is delivered, it is your responsibility to inspect the goods that you have received. coral compass can not accept any liability for any loss or damage that has been incurred during transit unless coral compass has been informed in writing - via email sent to info@coralcompass.co.uk within 24 hours of the receipt of the goods.

Returns

Incorrect item received
If we have sent you a product you haven't ordered simply contact the team at coral compass, then return it to us within 28 working days unused and in its original packaging and you will not be charged.


Damaged or Defective Goods
Orphek LED lighting products have a 1 year warranty period. If your Orphek LED light stops working within the first year of ownership simply contact the team at coral compass who will be happy to talk you through the returns process.


Your Right to Cancel
You have 14 calendar days from receiving your product in which to cancel and let us know you would like to return the product. You will then have a further 14 calendar days to return the product to coral compass, unused and in its original packaging. We will not pay the costs of returning an item to us. A refund will be made once the returned item has been received and inspected.

Warranty

All Orphek LED lighting products are covered by a 1 year warranty. During this timeframe we will repair or replace the defective unit, or part, at our discretion.


The warranty becomes effective on the date of purchase.


You must provide proof of delivery/purchase, item number and serial number, which is shown on the product label, before any work can be carried out on the product. Without this proof, any work carried out will be chargeable. Please keep your receipt or delivery note.


The repair or replacement of your product is under warranty and will not extend the period of warranty.


The warranty applies to the original purchase and is non-transferrable.


In the event that the purchase has been made from a local store: contact should be made with the store in the first instance.


The warranty provides benefits which are additional to and do not affect your statutory right as a consumer.

What's not covered?

Any damaged Orphek lighting product that has been subjected to:

Accidental damage, misuse, neglect, alteration, improper use or application, improper handling, improper transporting, improper storage, improper installation, improper testing or unauthorised repair, operation outside recommended parameters (as described in the applicable product manual, for example, damage from saltwater spray or heat), power fluctuation or failure, subjection to abnormal physical or electrical stress, use of incompatible products, non-approved power 
supplies/connections, improper cleaning and use of incompatible cleaning products, or similar circumstances.


To any Orphek lighting product that has been exposed or submerged to water.


To cosmetic problems or defects that result from normal wear and tear under ordinary use, and do not affect the performance or use of the product.

This warranty shall not apply if repairs have been attempted by anyone other than our customer service staff, authorised agent or under the instruction of our customer service staff.


This warranty does not cover rights other than those expressly set out above and does not cover any claims for consequential loss or damage. Neither the manufacturer or coral compass shall be liable for damage to any aquarium, aquarium life forms, or any other personal objects due to improper use of its products.


This warranty does not cover damage to products incurred in the shipping of the product.


We can only refund postage costs, under the warranty, if the goods are returned to us within 14 days of the original purchase. We will not refund shipping costs for warranty returns unless the product becomes faulty within the first 14 days of receipt.

Legal Information

These Terms and Conditions are a contract between you and us. Neither of us intend that these Terms and Conditions will be enforceable by any other person by virtue of the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999. These Terms and Conditions and all communications between us will be conducted in the English language. The laws of England and Wales apply to these Terms and Conditions. If any disputes arise between you and us (for example, in relation to your order) and you want to take court proceedings, you must do so in the courts of England and Wales.
